Catchin Up- Christmas 2010

Christmas Time for the Fonua's was amazing, we made gingerbread houses, cookies, watched the classic movies and all the great things that come with Christmas.

Adam and Amanda were staying with us so we had a full house, then Young's family came for a dinner.

I made a yummy Christmas dinner!

Flash! portraits Christmas party, where I was given the hardest worker and who moved all my stuff awards.

Then we went home to Kentucky for Christmas. Christmas eve was the usual Christmas crackers and chaos, including playing the pipes like old times.

We finally made my brothers join in their own tradition of the Christmas sweater!

The usual matching shirts photo-ops

nine of my parents twelve grandkids they are sooo cute i wanna squeeze them I am obsessed.

Christmas was wonderful we got to see some old friends, playing with the kiddos, watch movies, go to bounce U, eat lots of yummy food, and enjoy the holiday.

Creepy and Crafty

Halloween is so fun!
Full of scary movies, pumpkin carving, haunted houses, parties, costumes, and candy!
So we carved pumpkins

our witch on a warty pumpkin

Then I got crafty again.
I have all black furniture and picture frames and a camel couch so I needed to tie them together.
I saw a tiny monogram pillow at Hobby Lobby that I liked because I love monogram stuff but again it was tiny and had beads all over it so thus not snuggly for the couch.

So I made this:

A good addition to the house and I used my new sewing machine
all for under $7

Crafty Catherine

I have always had a desire to be crafty and artistic and also had way to much jewelry. So to make use of my first issue and solve the second I decided to make some cool jewelry hangers.

The before picture!
I took some old frames from work, bought some cool fabric, ribbon and cork...

Then TA DAH!
These are the three hangers ready to be put on the wall and filled with my jewelry.

on the way with a few modifications

I was pretty proud of myself for making something cute and crafty and relieved that my jewelry is more organized. Basically this is bragging...
